Graffiti

Graffiti began as an illicit underground activity, and in many parts of Sydney thousands of dollars spent each year eradicating tags and murals, but it has gained more social acceptance … especially within Sydney’s inner suburbs.

Katherine O’Chee, Tahni Beattie, Sally Fu and Karen Chen have made this six-minute documentary which looks at the conflict between those who argue that graffiti should be treated with zero-tolerance … and the people who are fighting graffiti in the community with a new legitimised form of street art.
