Homeless and unprotected

Three out of five young people who experienced homelessness in 2020 were female. Ignored and overlooked, we know that they exist, and that they are being failed, not just by politicians but by us all. What are the main causes of homelessness in young women and what challenges do they face? We decided to find out.

Our story presents the living conditions of homeless young women and the threats they are facing. We explored causes that lead to their homelessness and what it means to be homeless. The aim of our story is to raise awareness about many young women around us who are attempting to live without a place to call home but are hiding their problems from society to avoid the stigma attached.

What are the main causes of homelessness in young women and what challenges do they face? We decided to find out.
